On 16 October 1952, the two countries’ played first-ever Test match against each other, beginning a rivalry ( India vs pakistan ) that has grown beyond cricket to become a legendary fixture in the sports world.

India managed to recover in the third Test at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, winning by ten wickets. Throughout the 20th century, allegations of biased officiating and unsportsmanlike behavior both on and off the field tainted India-Pakistani matches.
