Tamil superstar Joseph Vijay, also known as ‘Thalapathy’ (Commander), announced on Friday the formation of his political party named ‘Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’ (Victorious Tamil Force). The actor clarified that his party will not contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections but will make its debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
In his remarks, the Actor outlined his vision for a progressive, secular, and corrupt-free administration. He declared that, given the nature of politics nowadays, he wanted to bring people together rather than split them on the basis of religion and caste lines.

“I am determined to work towards a government that is corruption-free, progressive, and secular, which doesn’t divide people based on religion and caste. Everywhere you look, corruption is evident,” he said.
