“Narendra Modi Launches Lok Sabha Campaign from Meerut with RLD Chief: A Significant Start to the Election Trail”

Narendra Modi

Since this is the first joint rally of the BJP and RLSP, both party leaders claim that more than 300,000 people will attend Narendra Modi’s rally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Research Institute ground in Meerut on Sunday, with his new coalition partner, National Lok Dal (RLSP) chief Jayant Chaudhary, also present.

First joint rally of BJP and RLSP

Because this is the first joint rally of the BJP and RLSP, both party leaders claim that more than 300,000 people will attend Modi’s rally.
The presence of Jat voters is significant in several western Uttar Pradesh areas of the RLSP, and the BJP has allocated two Lok Sabha seats—Bijnor and Baghpat—in western Uttar Pradesh to its new ally.

The fact is that Narendra Modi chose Meerut for the campaign launch for its strategic importance in western Uttar Pradesh, where Meerut serves as the gateway, and where the BJP will utilize the blend of development and Hindutva.
It is also the constituency from where the BJP has fielded actor Arun Govil, who became famous nationwide for portraying Lord Rama in the superhit TV series “Ramayan.”

Bhupendra Chaudhary on rally

Govil was also present in Ayodhya on January 22 for the inauguration of the Ram temple by the PM. Party leaders said the PM’s rally will also demonstrate strength akin to opposition leaders in Delhi, hoping to send a significant message through the rally.
UP BJP chief and Jat leader from western UP, Bhupendra Chaudhary, said that PM Modi will launch the party’s election campaign from Meerut and present BJP’s 10-year report card to the nation.

“The first phase of election campaigning will begin with the PM’s rally from Meerut in western UP,” said Chaudhary, adding, “The Prime Minister always stands by his commitments, and he will utilize this opportunity to showcase ‘what we promised, we delivered,’ and we take immense pride in it.”

PM Narendra Modi’s Rally

The PM’s rally will take place a day after RLSP chief Jayant Chaudhary’s grandfather, former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, is posthumously honored with India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, further motivating RLSP leaders who now say this rally will mark a milestone.

“The message of this joint rally will resonate far and wide. There is no opposition now, and the results on June 4 will prove it,” said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, praising the honor given to Chaudhary Charan Singh.

CM Yogi’s statement

Before the PM’s visit, Yogi, who visited Meerut on Wednesday, said, “Chaudhary Sahab’s unforgettable work dedicated to the overall development of villages, the poor, marginalized, oppressed, and farmers have enriched Indian politics with admirable democratic ideals.”
Party leaders admitted that BJP will not only utilize PM’s rally in Meerut but also in the surrounding constituencies of Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Kairana, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Nagina, Baghpat, and Bulandshahr.

UP BJP secretary Chandramohan

UP BJP secretary Chandramohan said, “The message of the Modi-Yogi rally reaches far and wide, and it is true that the first phase of elections will begin from western UP, but this rally will indeed set a big stage.”
UP Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar said, “We will all participate in PM Modi’s historic rally and prepare the platform for Mission 80 in UP.”

First Phase

In the first phase, polling will take place on April 19 in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana, Bijnor, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur, and Pilibhit seats, while polling in Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar will take place on April 26.
Before the PM’s Sunday rally, local administration has tightened security measures. Police officers said that a ban has been imposed on drones, kites, or balloons flying within an eight-kilometer radius of the rally venue. The responsibility for coordinating the PM’s rally has been assigned to the party’s state secretary Anoop Gupta.
