Amidst rumors of a divorce with Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has tied the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed. Malik shared updates through a social media post on Saturday, known as ‘X’, where he included pictures from their wedding ceremony. The caption says: “And we created you in pairs.”

Rumors of Shoaib Malik dating Javed had been circulating for quite some time. The speculations gained momentum last year when Shoaib Malik posted birthday wishes for the actress along with a picture, saying “Happy Birthday Buddy.” In March 2022, he tweeted again in support of Javed, who faced criticism for alleged inappropriate behavior towards junior actors and makeup artists on set.
Shoaib Malik shared, “My acquaintance with Sana Javed spans a significant period, and after collaborating with her on various occasions, I must highlight that, from my personal encounters, she consistently exudes kindness and humility not only towards me but also towards those in our vicinity.”

Divorce Rumour with Sania Mirza
Between the rumors of Malik’s divorce from Mirza, the wedding post with Javed came as a surprise to many. Malik and Mirza got married in a traditional Muslim ceremony in Hyderabad in 2010, followed by a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. Izhaan, their shared son, was born in 2018.
While the details of what led to the cracks in their relationship are unknown, it is believed to have happened around the beginning of 2021. According to their social media presence, Sania and Shoaib will remain active on Instagram, regularly posting pictures and stories. They are currently traveling the world together and posing for pictures with their child by the coasts of Dubai.
Last year, there were reports of Sania and Shoaib appearing together on a TV show, eventually presented as “The Mirza Malik Show” by Spotify. In a 40-minute episode of the show, the two of them hosted a number of well-known figures.

On record, this is Shoaib Malik’s second marriage. However, it should be noted that before marrying Sania, Malik was allegedly married to Ayesha Siddiqui, although he denied it. During his wedding ceremony with Mirza, allegations were made against Malik that he was already married. Ayesha, her family, and her sister Mahaa raised this issue on national television. According to Malik’s own admission, his connection with Ayesha was nothing more than an episode of deception.
In the early 2000s, they got in touch over phone calls, with Ayesha presenting herself as Shoaib’s fan. As they started talking more, Malik accepted that feelings developed between them. However, whenever Shoaib wanted to meet Ayesha, she would make herself unavailable. In 2002, when Malik came to Hyderabad to meet her, Ayesha told him that she had to go to Saudi Arabia immediately. Three years later, a day before meeting Malik and his family, she was informed that she had to go to the USA.
While Ayesha wanted to have a ‘Nikah’ with Malik over the phone, the cricketer did not agree. Instead, he insisted on organizing a full-fledged ceremony where both families could be present. As it turned out, the girl Shoaib had seen in pictures and was talking to was a completely different person. Malik also sent a legal notice to Ayesha’s father, M.A. Siddiqui, but the story did not end there. Ayesha accused Shoaib of having an ‘intimate relationship’ between them.
